Description:
Manufactured between 1931 and 1939. It has the early features of the twin single triggers. The barrels have a solid matted rib marked, a single steel bead sight, are choked .034 bottom/.030 top and have 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. Has a tang mounted safety switch with a gold inlaid “S”. Mounted on a nicely figured, multi-point checkered walnut forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with Hawkins (newer) recoil pad.
Excellent overall condition, 95% plus of the original blue finish remains with some scattered minor scratches and dings along with some wear on the bottom barrel, lower tang, break lever safety switch and high edges. There are also a few minor freckles of oxidation. The wood is very good with scattered scratches, dings and two small repaired cracks on the right side of the forearm, there is also a small crack under the pistol grip near the tang that has been previously repaired.
